I think that Sanger likes me just a little... he didn't even growl at me today when I walked past his goat pen. George came over to teach all of us some new tricks that all good dogs know - it was so nice to see him again!
I hardly got any sleep the other night - so many things to warn Jim and Julie about outside - in the yard and in the goat pen! I think I will leave that work to Cleo and Andre - Rufus has the right idea, being inside! Yup... I definitely like the inside crate. I wonder if I snore...
Cleo took me (and Julie, Deb, Enzo and Jim) out to a very pretty and green park. I thanked Deb and Enzo as enthusiastically as I could - she is the human who saved me. There were little children all over the place, so I worked very hard on my solid stance so that no one got knocked over.
I have a place to sleep outside, and I have a safe space inside too - it's so nice to have choices. Right now, I think inside is winning - today I learned what a foxtail was - owee! Jim's friend came over and said that I looked like a "Monty". I will have to roll that one around for a bit - I am so used to Bear, I'm afraid I might not come when called. Hah, who am I kidding? I am a Pyr, so that's not a problem. I'm trying out this thing called a Coolaroo - I'll sleep on it,
When I was living in "that house", I stayed in a closet all day, and went out to do my business when my human came home from work. I know that he did the best he could, but oh... here, I get unlimited fresh air, the goats, the chickens, the other Pyrs, and - best of all - Jim and Julie are the nicest humans ever! (I think Jim really gets me. and Julie too.) I met my first rooster the other day - he's very bossy - I think he has his area of the ranch covered... I won't get in
I can't believe it's been two weeks already. I have spent time on a sheep farm with 4 other Pyrs like me, and I am now going to stay at a goat farm - I'm so excited! I'm still learning who is responsible for protecting the sheep and the humans - if no one else barks, I think I have to - right?
I am a little confused - where did my family go? George is a pretty cool guy - he and I played a lot of games, like Walking in Circles, Resting in the Shade, Protect the Garage from the Delivery people. Patti came over to meet me, and I didn't know who she was, so I let George know immediately. After he told me it was ok, I didn't have to bark anymore. George's family came and hugged and petted me - I love being hugged and petted. Patti brushed and brushed me, and trimmed m
As you can imagine it's a sad story. Deb Michelotti got a call from her vet about a Pyr scheduled for euthanasia last Monday when both she and I were out of town! Patti and Lisa both stepped up to save this boy - a 2.5 yr old neutered Great Pyrenees. Thank goodness that Vally Oak Veterinary Center called! George Menna, a dog trainer that we all call the Pyr Whisperer, stepped up immediately, and took Bear in until we could find a foster home for him. It looks like he will ne
